* Košice, March 4, 1839 – † Bratislava, July 16, 1891 / teacher, entomologist ; ; He completed his university studies in Vienna, where he obtained a teaching certificate in natural history and geography in 1861. He was a high school teacher in Selmecbánya in 1861–1863, in Košice in 1863–1864, then in Prešov, and finally in Bratislava. He organized the natural history collection of the Catholic high school in Bratislava, presented the fauna of the city's surroundings using specimens he collected himself, and even skillfully drew and painted insects, primarily butterflies. He published longer entomological studies in the Bulletin of the high school: Catalogus coleopterorum Cassoviae et Posonii inventorum, 1868, Some poorly known mammals and birds, 1872, Collection of large butterflies of Bratislava and its surroundings, 1878. The Enumeratio coleopterorum Posoniensium. Supplement to the description of the insect fauna of Bratislava was published as a special edition of the bulletin of the Bratislava Natural and Medical Society in 1880.
