* Mecenzéf, July 11, 1879 – † Budapest, November 12, 1953 / ironworks engineer; ; He obtained a diploma from the Academy of Mining and Forestry Engineering in Selmecbánya (1904). In 1904, he began his career in the blast furnace in Resicabánya, from 1906 he managed the coking plant in Stájerlakanina, from 1907 he modernized the coking plant and then the blast furnace in Resicabánya. In 1913, the State Iron Works invited him to manage the design and construction of the blast furnace to be established in Diósgyőr. World War I interrupted his career, and he returned home from captivity in 1920. From 1921 he managed the blast furnace of the Salgótarján-Rimamurárnyi Vasmű Rt. in Sorompa, and after the factory was shut down in 1926 he was transferred to Ózd as director. During his decade and a half of operation in Ózd he raised this base of domestic pig iron production to a modern standard. In addition to his technical work, he also dealt with social issues. He retired in 1941, but in 1951 he was invited to work again at the Foundry Design Office, and until his death he contributed to the design of the coking and blast furnace of the Dunai Vasmű.
