* Selmecbánya, July 12, 1825 – † Selmecbánya, February 4, 1902 / mining engineer, inventor ; ; He completed his secondary and higher education in his hometown, graduating from the Academy in 1850. He served in several places in the country, but spent most of his life in Selmecbánya, where he was the head teacher of the mining school from 1891. He is credited with introducing several innovations and technical achievements in Hungary (e.g. the pneumatic drilling machine).
