The grave of the village clerk Antal Radó Rétei

The 74th issue of Esztergom és Vidéke, September 14, 1905, reported: ; — Family drama in Kéty. The happiness of a family was ruined on the 9th of this month by the flaring anger, which is usually a bad adviser. The mother-in-law of the village clerk of Kéty, Antal Radó, had to be taken to the railway station, and during the preparations a disagreement arose between him and his wife, over which the young woman became so bitter that when her mother and husband were driven to the railway station, she undressed and lay down on the bed, and drank a glass of pure carbolic acid that she always kept in the office. She immediately lost consciousness from the terrible poison, and was found by the family in the throes of death. The district physician of Szölgyém, József Pászthy, was immediately called to the writhing woman, but it was no longer possible to help her, the young woman’s entire insides were burned by the poison. When Antal Radó came home from the train, his wife was already dead. The unfortunate husband was so distraught that he wanted to atone for his pain over his wife's fatal death with his life, but those around him prevented him from doing so by hiding his gun.
