* Magyarsók, October 25, 1787 – † Pest, May 29, 1860 / lawyer, bar judge, specialist writer, linguist ; ; He began his secondary education in Komárom, continued in Losonc, Bratislava and graduated from the ref. college in Debrecen. He completed three years of theology, finally choosing a career as a lawyer. In 1812, he taught in Szeghalom, then in April 1815 he was sworn in as a royal bar notary. From 1816 he lived in Pest. At the county assemblies, he attracted attention with his excellent speeches and precise knowledge of the laws. He was one of the founders of the Pest savings bank. He also held the positions of councilor and guardian in the Reformed Church. Readings were held from his Sanskrit, Jewish and Gypsy language collection at the meetings of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He regularly published linguistic, church history and legal articles in contemporary newspapers. Many of his works have survived in manuscript. In these he dealt with the origins of the Ishmaelites, Saracens and Gypsies, Hungarian crafts and trade in the Árpád period, the Sanskrit language, Hunnic and Jewish writing. He compiled a dictionary of the Gypsy language. His son, Sándor Réső Ensel Jr. (Pest, February 1, 1833 – Budapest, February 24, 1899) was a lawyer, legal, archaeological and art history writer.
