* Garamvezekény, February 23, 1923 – † Budapest, April 1, 2009 / physician, immunologist, university professor; ; son of school principal Lajos Réthy. He earned his medical degree from the Budapest Medical University. He dealt with immunology and new possibilities of combined vaccinations. He was a guest lecturer at several foreign universities – Tehran (Iran), Bombay, Madras (India). He was among the first in the world to use combined mass vaccinations. His method was also recommended for use by the World Health Organization (WHO).
