* Nagyszombat, July 11, 1858 – † Bakonybél, October 14, 1908 / Benedictine teacher, librarian, archaeologist ; ; He began his secondary education in his hometown, graduating in Pannonhalma and Győr. He entered the Benedictine order in 1874, and was ordained a priest in 1881. In 1887, he took the teaching exam at the University of Budapest. In 1887, he fell ill in Zalaapáti, during which time he worked as an archivist. In 1888, he temporarily retired to Celldömölk and then to Košice, where he organized the twenty-thousand-volume episcopal library. As a member of the order, he was a teacher in Sopron and Esztergom, and in 1894–1905, he was the director of the central library of the Pannonhalma archabbey and the keeper of the archives. After his retirement, he lived in Bakonybél. His work focuses on archaeology and library science. He collected valuable archaeological material for the Pannonhalma Museum and the Millennium Exhibition. He published the list of the Pannonhalma Library's ancient prints and old Hungarian books.
