Imre Rázso

* Košice, 14 October 1904 – † Budapest, 31 October 1964 / mechanical engineer, agronomist, university professor of technology, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1949) ; ; Graduated as a mechanical engineer at the Budapest University of Technology, designer of the First Hungarian Agricultural Machine Factory from 1926 to 1929, assistant professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Magyaróvár Economic Academy from 1929. In 1937, he made a one-year study trip to the USA and Canada with a Smith Jeremiás scholarship. Upon his return, in 1938 he entered the employ of the Hofherr-Schrantz Factory. In 1945, he organized and headed the mechanization department of the Ministry of Agriculture. In 1946, he was the head of the Department of Agricultural Mechanics at the Budapest University of Agricultural Sciences, from 1949 he was a lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Mechanics at the Budapest University of Technology, and from 1950 he was a professor. In addition, he was the head of the Agricultural Machinery Experiment Institute between 1949 and 1956. During his work, he dealt, among other things, with the technical and physiological aspects of agricultural hand tools, the stability issues of tractors, the kinetic and dynamic tests of tractor handles, and the improvement of traction efficiency.
