* Dobsina, April 27, 1849 – † Budapest, December 18, 1921 / mathematics and physics teacher, natural science writer ; ; He completed his high school studies in Rozsnyó and Prešov, and was a student at the Prešov Theological Academy in 1867–1870. After a year of teaching, he studied physics and mathematics at the Budapest University of Science and Technology and the Palatine József University of Technology, then became an assistant professor at the Department of Experimental Physics at the University of Technology. From 1875, he taught first at a high school in Nagykálló and then at a high school in Budapest. He contributed to the modernization of the curricula of the Catholic secondary schools. From 1895 until his death, he was the librarian of the Hungarian Society of Natural Sciences, and under his activities the collection of 9,500 volumes grew to more than 35,000. He also compiled a two-volume index of the volumes in the library. He regularly published scientific articles in the Society's journal, Testezéstudományi Közlöny.
