* Nemeskosztolány, September 8, 1669 – † Marosvásárhely, July 5, 1734 / Jesuit priest, philosopher, doctor of philosophy and theology, university professor ; ; He entered the Jesuit order at the end of November 1687. He studied at the universities of Vienna and Graz. He taught grammar, rhetoric and philosophy at the University of Nagyszombat, later becoming a professor of theology there. In 1722–1726 he was a Hungarian confessor in Rome, during which he also learned Italian, French and Spanish. He returned to Hungary in 1726, and in 1728–1729 he was the rector and then chancellor of the University of Nagyszombat. In 1729 he was the chancellor of the college and director of the printing press in Košice. From 1732 he was the head of the house in Kolozsvár and the director of the academy there. He often visited churches in Upper Hungary and Transylvania. He died during one of his visits to Transylvania. His younger brother, János Raicsáni (Nemeskosztolány, June 23, 1671–Nagyszombat, March 12, 1733)126 was also a Jesuit priest teacher and published several books on religious topics in Hungarian. György Raicsáni’s most important works are: Harmonia Philosophica, 1706, Ars recte philosophandi, 1707, Bellum contra hostes capitales, 1717, Conclusiones scientiae practicae, 1718, Instructio confessarii et poenitentis, 1719.
