Ceremony of inaugurating the Lajos Pósa relic flag in 1939
Other - other
According to contemporary records, on May 14, 1939, the spring wind waved a national flag on every house in Nemesradnót. The adopted daughter of poet Lajos Pósa, Sárika, brought the beautiful embroidered relic flag from Budapest, which was unfurled in the Reformed church, then inaugurated next to the statue of Lajos Pósa, and placed in the flagpole. The guests from the capital were transported by coachman Béla Pósa (Béla's grandfather and the poet's father were brothers). The relic flag was carried by Ferenc Pósa (the father of Dezső Pósa at the time). László Móra gave a eulogy. Among others, Lászlóné Bakó, a member of the National Theatre, recited poems by the poet and his wife. (Source: Memories of Lajos Pósa - Memorial, 2010)
