Bratislava-Prešov Bridge

Other - other

The largest part of the settlement lies on the left bank of the Little Danube, its border extends to both sides of the river. The crossing of the river was provided by a ferry until 1940, when the bridge was built. The ferry was the property of the Esterházy estate, until the local landlord community bought it in 1792. In March 1945, the retreating Germans blew up the bridge. The designer of the Little Danube Bridge was István Menyhárd (1902-1969), an engineer and structural engineer.
