The editorial staff of “Én Újságom” – of which Lajos Pósa was a long-time employee – launched a movement in 1930 to erect the statue, which was made by Ede Margó (1872-1946). The 176 cm bronze figure sitting on a 140 cm stone pedestal with a writing desk and a book can be seen in the City Park next to the Olof Palme Promenade. There were originally bronze reliefs on both sides of the pedestal (with children's figures depicting a children's story and a folk song), the fate of which has been unknown since 1952. ; In the photograph, the Nemesradnót delegation and the family representatives include the donor's grandfather, Ferenc Pósa, Béla Pósa, and the Vitalís family. The Nemesradnót delegation also includes: Lajosné Bodon, Géza Pósa (judge), Lajos Pósa (pastor), Géza Pósa senior (junior). And among the Budapesters, the widow Mrs. Lajos Pósa, Dr. István Kiss and his wife Sárika Pósa.
