* Losonc, August 8, 1920 – † Miskolc, November 29, 1983 / mineralogist–petrographer, university professor ; ; He obtained a teaching certificate at the Budapest University of Science and Technology (1943), then in 1944 he completed his doctoral thesis on the petrographic relations of the Nógrád and Gömör basalts. He began his career at the Budapest University of Technology (1943), and from 1950 he taught mineralogy and petrology at the Miskolc University of Heavy Industry. His scientific work mainly covered the examination of the Borsod pyroclastics. He dealt with the prognostic coal occurrence of the Borsod coal basin and the improvement of the water supply of Miskolc. Based on his elaborated proposal, the geological and hydrogeological work of the Vörsvölgy reservoir was restarted.
