Pográny springs and wells

The location of Pográny is one of the lowest in the entire Zoboralja. A large amount of karst water, but also water from other, younger sediments, emerges to the surface here. The most famous, the so-called Nagypatak, which is also fed by warm water, is treated as a special value. Among the other springs, the Tyiszke (Tízke) well (still a rich, local water source), the Csütörtök well, which was long ago boarded up, the Kákai well, which springs in the interior, the Bodoki well or Bodoki kútyika, which starts the Bodoki stream originating in Nádas, and the Völgyi well, which flows towards the flatland. The Kácsás-tó, Sárkány well, Poronnai well, Büdös well, Lelokút and other smaller, anonymous (or now with unknown names) and often already deteriorated or dried up springs and wells have become almost unknown. The wells have not been processed in a meaningful way until now, so their inventory, marking, restoration, protection and restoration to public awareness would be desirable. Their water is in most cases no longer drinkable (eutrophicated, coliform bacteria, etc.), but as memories of the past, they are important landmarks for certain parts of the inner and outer areas (historical natural and folk life mementos).
