* Pelsőc, March 15, 1882 – † Budapest, February 16, 1951 / art historian ; ; His father was a MÁV official. In 1907, he earned a doctorate in humanities from the Budapest University of Science and Technology. From 1908 to 1920, he was the director of the Budapest Museum of Fine Arts, served as a first lieutenant during World War I, and then worked under Deputy People's Commissar György Lukács during the Soviet Republic, organizing and managing the art directory and the committee for the "socialization" of art treasures. This body of recognized experts "collected" valuable works of art in private ownership and took them into state ownership, which can actually be considered a theft of art treasures ordered from the highest level. Following the fall of the Directory, he was arrested on September 2, 1919, along with several others, dismissed from state service in 1920, and from then on he pursued private activities. In 1923–1924, he edited the journal Ars Una. He published numerous art history and art articles.
