The life story of Boldizsár Paulisz

Paulisz Boldizsár was born on September 21, 1959 in Alsóbodok. He has been a construction foreman since 1978, and a local private entrepreneur since 1990. His activities for the Hungarian people began with his work in social organizations (Csemadok, Nyitra and Region Target Fund Working Committee, etc.). In 1990, he was a founding member of the local organization of the Hungarian Christian Democratic Movement, and in 1995-2002, he was a member of the National Council of the MKP. In 1995-2000, he established a further education and boarding institution, and in 2001, he co-founded the only Hungarian-language vocational secondary school in the Nyitra region (Magyar Tanyelvű Magán-szakközépiskola), the latter of which is treated as a separate regional value. The secondary school dormitory was built in 2002-2004, followed by another one in 2006-2009. The ranch hall hosts various events, conferences, celebrations, and gatherings, and provides a summer program space for children, especially in the summer. In 2005-2006, smaller wooden houses were also built for campers. A larger hall was also completed in 2011-2012. A horse corral was built between 2012-2013. Paulisz Boldizsár founded numerous monuments and memorial columns, most of which are located at the Paulisz Ranch (Apponyi Geraldine, Széchenyi István, etc., represent a special local value). In 1997, he created the memorial plaque of the village's patron saint, he also created a monument on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the conquest, in 2011 he created the memorial plaque of the Order of St. George, in 2015 he initiated the restoration of part of the millennium monument on Zobor Hill, created an exact replica of the Vas-Turul memorial column in Nitra and the Memorial Park (mini-arboretum). In 2012 he started the realization of the Stations of the Cross of Loyalty, a year later he began the construction of the Esterházy Rock Tomb and later the Chapel of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (the Esterházy János Pilgrim Center is a special highland value). On September 15, 2017, the remains of János Esterházy were placed under the chapel. He cast bells for the chapel, the largest of which was blessed by the Holy Father in the Vatican (the bells in Alsóbodok are also a special local value). His work achievements were commended in 1986 and 1987, in 1995 he was awarded the MKDM "For the Future with Christian Democracy" medal, from 2002 he was a member of the Order of St. George, in 2002 he was awarded the silver plaque of the Slovak Republic, in 2003 he was a Knight of Universal Culture, in 2004 he was awarded the Pro cultura Hungarica prize, in 2006 he was an honorary citizen of Hódmezővásárhely, in 2007 he was awarded the János Esterházy Memorial Committee, he received the certificate of recognition of the Rákóczi Association, in 2013 he was the owner of the Holy Crown Memorial Medal, in 2013 he was a member of the 1956 Order of Valor. In 2016 he founded the János Esterházy Homeland Association, of which he became the president. In 2017, he was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit, and on March 20 of the following year, he received the Esterházy Prize. He died at the age of 58, after a serious illness that he bore with dignity, on June 13, 2018. His remains were placed in the rock tomb of the aforementioned chapel.
