* Felsőpálfalva, May 20, 1843 – † Salgótarján, August 5, 1931 / lawyer, poet, ethnographer ; ; His family's noble surname was "Révkomárom". He later used the surname "Nógrádi" as a distinction. He began his studies in Losonc, continued in Selmecbánya and finished in Sárospatak, where János Erdélyi (Kiskapos) had a great influence on his literary and folk poetry studies. In 1868 he obtained his law degree and opened a law office in Fülek. From 1903 he was a member of the Petőfi Society. He was much involved in folk poetry, collecting many tales and folk songs among the Palócoks. The influence of folk poetry is felt in his poems. His first poems were published in Arany János Koszorúja, and he published his poems in A Hét, az Új Idők, a Hölgyfutár, and Fővárosi Lapok.
