* Budapest, May 14, 1951 – † Bratislava, August 2, 2017 / electrical engineer, writer on the history of technology and cultural history ; ; His parents were resettled in Hungary after 1945, and he returned to Czechoslovakia, Tejfalu, when he was four years old. He began his schooling here, then completed high school in neighboring Somorja, where he graduated in 1969. He earned an engineering degree in digital audio and video engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague in 1975, and then completed postgraduate training in 1981. Between 1975 and 1981, he was a sound engineer and later a video engineer at the Bratislava studio of Czechoslovak Television. In 1981–1990, he was a technical advisor to the House of Trade Unions in Bratislava, and between 1991–1999, he was the deputy technical and then operational director of the institution now called the Istropolis Congress Center. From 1999 to 2011, until his retirement, he worked again at Slovak Television as a leading broadcasting expert. ; In addition to his work, he is also involved in scientific dissemination and specialized translation. His popularization articles have been published in Hungarian newspapers from the upper regions since the mid-1970s (Hét, Nő, Tábortűz, Új Szó, Vasárnapi Új Szó, Vasárnap, Irodalmi Szemle), as well as in the Prague Mirror, but he is also an external collaborator of Pátria Radio in Bratislava. In 1991–1992 he was a member of the Slovak Television Council, and in 1994–1996 of the National Radio and Television Council (“frequency council”). He translated into Hungarian the historical work of the Turkologist József Blaskovics (Ímely), originally published in Slovak, Rimaszombat during the Turkish occupation, which was first published in Budapest in 1989 and then in Bratislava in 1993. He edited the Blaskovics memorial book in 1995. His daughter, Katalin Ozogány (Dunaszerdahely, July 12, 1982 –) works as a physicist in Budapest. ; ; His main works: ; Centuries of Hungarian Science I-II.
