Ignatius Ottava

* Érsekújvár, July 27, 1852 – † Budapest, December 4, 1914 / ophthalmologist, university private teacher ; ; He completed his elementary and secondary school studies in his hometown. He was inaugurated as a doctor of medicine at the Budapest University of Science and Technology in 1879. He became a university private teacher in 1887. He primarily dealt with eye diseases, e.g. trachoma, which he characterized as a common disease.
