National flag inauguration in Hetény

The village inaugurated its national flag on June 18, 1939, as a donation from the Makád village choir. The national flag was presented by Ferenc Pataky, ig. teacher. On behalf of the Ereklyés National Flag Committee, Ministerial Chief Engineer Andor Sebestyén gave the inauguration speech, and the pastors of the churches blessed the national flag. The ceremony was attended by the delegate of the National Flag Committee, the regional levente command, and the levente delegation of the neighboring villages. The service was held by Pastor Lajos Zsemlye, and the Makád choir performed church songs. Ref. teacher Béla Nemesik thanked for the gift, and after the local ref. choir sang, the chief clerk of Hetény Imre Gáspár gave the closing speech. ; The council elected Major Miklós Esső as an honorary citizen, who entered the village on Nov. 6, 1938, at the head of the Hungarian National Guard.
