* Nagykerekény, 3 November 1880 – † Budapest, 31 March 1951. geologist ; ; He obtained his teaching certificate in natural history, geography and chemistry at the Budapest University of Science and Technology in 1906. Between 1906 and 1920 he taught at the Késmárk Lyceum. From 1920 he worked at the MNM Fossil Museum, retiring as its director in 1942. From 1905 he carried out regular geological mapping as an external employee of the Geological Institute. His work in the field of descriptive paleontology is also of lasting value: he determined and described many new species. Several hundred of his articles and studies were published in domestic and foreign geological journals. In 1948 he received the Szabó József Memorial Medal.
