Nemesradnóti terpertős (nine-hole, layered) scone
Other - other
The recipe for the Nemesradnót tepertős (nine-hole, layered) pogácsa was written down by her granddaughter, Ágnes Gyurán, from Katalin Lukács Pálné Pósa in 1985. The recipe is included so that the pogácsa-making servant can see the preparation process and can wait for the dough to rest. The special feature of the pogácsa is that it has nine holes. This means that the torn and twisted pogácsa must be poked very deeply three times with a three-pronged fork. This is how the nine openings are formed on the top of the pogácsa, which serve to evaporate the steam from the heavy, fatty dough. The smallest group of Bátka value keepers (Bátka Elementary School, 3.A) led by class teacher Andrea Gregor decided to make the pogácsa in preparation for a project announced by the Rimaszombat Regional Center of the Association of Hungarian Teachers in Slovakia. During baking, the old recipe met the future generation, who really liked the taste and smell. This is how this value became a community!
