* Nagybiccse–Predmér, March 6, 1893 – † Aš, May 2, 1945 / engineer, university teacher ; ; He completed his studies at the Budapest University of Technology in 1922, after which he entered the service of MÁV as a section engineer. From 1929 he was an employee of the directorate. In 1933 he obtained a technical doctorate and in 1936 he qualified as a private teacher. In 1939 he became the head of the substructure group and then the newly established experimental group in the construction department of the MÁV directorate. From 1938 he was an invited lecturer, then a substitute teacher, and from 1941 he was a public full professor of the road, railway construction and transport department at the Budapest University of Technology. In the last days of the war he became a victim of an air raid near the Czech-Bavarian border. His studies on the theoretical and practical problems of track construction and maintenance have made his name known in foreign circles. He built the first Hungarian long-rail, joint-free experimental sections. ; In the field of superstructure calculations, he achieved results by developing the Hungarian substitute length-base calculation method. In addition, he is responsible for the design and introduction of numerous novel superstructure structures, rail ties, and reinforced concrete subgrades. His studies have been published in domestic and foreign professional press.
