The photo was taken in the early 1950s, when Nagymegyer became the district seat, but it retained its rural character. At the beginning of today's Öreg Street, there were still small shops. The people standing in front of them were employees of the then nationalized shops. The tower of the Reformed church is visible in the background. The street is an untidy, dirt road.
