The Reformed Church of Nagymegyer was built on December 4, 1785. The construction of the church continued at the beginning of the 19th century. In 1801, the previously unauthorized tower was built under the direction of the carpenter Gábor Schéda from Érsekújvár, where two bells made in Győr were placed. It was completed on November 6, 1838, the work of the clockmaker Ferenc Moliloner from Komárom, which was an extremely rare work at that time, and for a long time the city of Nagymegyer measured the passage of time with it.
