Foresters of Nagymegyer

There is a significant forest on the outskirts of Nagymegyer. According to a legend known in the city, King Matthias also hunted in this forest in the 15th century, who tied his horse to a large oak tree on the edge of the forest and had his tent pitched. This is where he first met the judge of Nagymegyer. The hunting lodge, which can be seen in the picture, stood close to the tree in the 16th century. Three Nagymegyer foresters can be seen in front of the hunting lodge. The picture was taken at the beginning of the First World War.
