In 1947, the Roman Catholic Church in Nagymegyer operated under difficult circumstances. Part of the Hungarian population was deported to the Czech Republic, while others were awaiting deportation to Hungary. Despite all this, a significant number of children received their first communion that year, as can be seen in the photo. The nun on the left of the photo is a former teacher at the former Zárda school, and on the right is the dean István Cseri, who was deported to Hungary in 1948.
