* Nagyszombat, 1614 – † Vienna, March 3, 1679 / Jesuit ecclesiastical writer, university professor ; ; As a young man, he first entered the Franciscan order, later becoming a Jesuit. After earning a doctorate in humanities and theology in Graz and Rome, he became a professor at the University of Nagyszombat. He was then transferred to Rome, where he edited the annals of the Society of Jesus, and then became confessor to the widow of Ferdinand III in Vienna.
