Julianna Máté, who made us fall in love with Četnek lace
Other - other
Everyday heroes. They walk among us, yet they are somewhat different from us. Are their actions, attitudes, thinking, behavior, habits or values different from those of others? We investigated this mystery with our small team, which included: Edina Ferencz, Péter Bálint Hencz, Valentina Nagy, Dorka Vámoš and their assistant, Ágnes Gyurán. ; We began our research by clarifying the basic concepts. Who can be a hero, and what does this word really mean? First, we thought about the term ourselves. We sought the answer to the question through a brainstorming session within the group. Later, we called on the explanations of the Hungarian Interpretive Hand Dictionary for help. The fact that the students included their parents, family members, and the bus driver who, with his smile and encouraging, kind voice, gives strength to those heading to school and work in the morning is encouraging. ; Our choice finally fell on a young girl whom we met at a project day of the Regional Pedagogical Center of the Slovak Hungarian Teachers' Association in Tornalj in June 2016, where students from our team were present as members of one of the project presenting teams. The student's name is Julianna Máté and the topic she studied and addressed in her presentation was Czestochowa lace.
