Museum Newscaster 2022

The Museum News is a regularly published scientific yearbook and professional publication of the Csallóközi Museum (Slovak: Žitnoostrovské múzeum) in Dunaszerdahely. The aim of the magazine is to present the museum's research activities, the processing of its collections, and the latest results related to the history, ethnography, and cultural heritage of Csallóköz and Dunaszerdahely.

The publication publishes studies, historical works based on archival research, onomastic and genealogical analyses, local history processing, and occasionally written versions of conference presentations. The News provides an important forum for researchers dealing with the region and forms a bridge between scientific work and the local community.

The volumes are usually bilingual (with content in Hungarian and Slovak), which reflects the cultural and linguistic characteristics of the region. Some volumes are thematic: for example, the 2022 issue deals entirely with the past of a historical family – the Kondé family – involving several scientific fields (history, onomastics, genealogy).
