Mikula Jani's photo club card from the last century... ; In 1935, teacher János Holub founded the first football team in Vága. The first match took place in 1936. In 1949, the team was already playing championship matches. A new era began in Vága from 1956. In 1961-62, the team won the championship, and was promoted from the 3rd district division to the 2nd division. After that, Vága sports fans had to wait a total of 9 years for their team to win a championship. So, in 1971, the Vága eleven fought their way to the 1st B division.
