* Losonc, January 13, 1870 – † Balassagyarmat, October 3, 1941. / linguist, stylistic historian ; ; He completed his secondary school studies in his hometown, studied Hungarian linguistics at the Budapest University of Science and Technology, and was a student of Gábor Szarvas. After graduating from university, before he had even received his diploma, he was drafted into the military. In 1893, at the encouragement of his teachers, he began preparing his doctoral dissertation. His topic was the correspondence of medieval Hungarian noblewomen – Erzsébet Szilágyi, Zsuzsanna Lorántffy, Ilona Zrínyi – and their linguistic, stylistic, and content lessons. In 1895, he began his teaching career at the state secondary school in Székelyudvarhely, and from 1898 he was a regular teacher in Bártfán, and then in 1907 he was transferred to Balassagyarmat. From 1907 to 1932 he was a teacher at Balassi Bálint Gymnasium. After the death of the gymnasium principal Ferenc Jaskovics, he was officially the principal of the gymnasium from April 16 to December 12, 1914. He also taught Reformed religious education. In the 1920s, he was a member of the Nógrád County Museum, the Casino, the Madách Society's board of directors, and the Reformed Church Council. In 1925–1926, he was the local commissioner for special film screenings. His essays were published in the Magyar Nyelvőr.
