Louis the Butcher

* Csicsó, November 30, 1913 – † Gödöllő, January 24, 1969 / agricultural engineer; ; In 1936 he obtained a teaching certificate, and a year later an agricultural specialist teacher's certificate, and worked as a primary school teacher until 1941. He was a soldier in World War II and was taken prisoner of war. Returning home in 1948, he taught in rural agricultural vocational schools in Hungary, then from 1951 he became a lecturer at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Gödöllő and in 1954 he himself obtained a certificate in agricultural engineering. In 1964 he was appointed associate professor. His field of expertise was heredity and plant breeding. He was a contributor to the Agrárirodalmi Szemle.
