* Muzsla, 23 May 1811 – † Vienna, 26 September 1865 / canon of Esztergom, church historian, corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1858) ; ; He came from a well-to-do farming family. He completed high school in Esztergom, philosophy and theology in Nagyszombat. He was ordained a priest in 1834. He became a chaplain in Lekér, in 1835 in Nyitranaykér, then in Barton and for a short time in Kiliti. From 1836 to 1845 he was a teacher at the Esztergom Lyceum, teaching Hungarian language, literary history, religious studies and natural science. In 1847 he was the archbishop's office director, and from 1848 he was the parish priest of Vadkert. In 1864 he became a canon of Esztergom and director of the Pazmanaeum in Vienna. His works are mainly religious, he wrote school textbooks, and translated Manzoni's The Betrothed (1851). In 1857–1858, he edited six volumes of the Public Education Bulletins in Balassagyarmat.
