* Tardoskedd, October 1, 1936 – / ethnographer ; ; He began his school studies in his native village, graduating from the Hungarian Gymnasium in Komárom in 1954. After that, he taught in his native village until 1961. Between 1961 and 1983, he was a lecturer in ethnography at the Csemadok KB, while between 1963 and 1968 he completed his ethnography degree at the Comenius University in Bratislava by correspondence. Between 1983 and 1993, he was a colleague of the Institute of Ethnography of the SZTA, and then edited ethnographic programs in the Hungarian editorial office of the Slovak Radio. As an ethnographer, he primarily deals with Hungarian folk costumes, folk customs and issues of folk religiosity in Slovakia. For years, he organized ethnographic exhibitions at the national events of the Csemadok in Zselizi and Gombaszög, coordinated the activities of volunteer ethnographic collectors, and regularly published ethnographic articles and studies in Slovak Hungarian newspapers (A Hét, Nő, Népművelés, Irodalmi Szemle). His awards include: the Grand Prize of the Slovak Ethnographic Society (1984), the Csemadok OV Memorial Medal (1997), the Tree of Life Award of the Ministry of National Cultural Heritage (1998), the Zoltán Kodály Award (2007), the KÓTA Lifetime Achievement Award (2008). ; ; His main works: ; Slovak Hungarian Folk Costumes (with Mária Jókai), 1998, ; Ipoly Menti Folktales (collector, editor), 2001, ; Slovak Hungarian Peasant Costumes, 2002.
