* Tótsóvár, June 28, 1895 – † Budapest, March 19, 1981 / literary historian, private university teacher, Berzsenyi researcher ; ; He completed his secondary school studies in Prešov, then from 1913 he was a student of the Hungarian-German department of the Pázmány Péter University in Budapest, and from 1918 he taught in Körmöcbánya. At the beginning of 1919 he entered the Kaposvár gymnasium and joined the Social Democratic Party. During the Commune of 1919, he organized children's holiday campaigns and gave political lectures. He was later charged for this and had to leave school. Between 1920 and 1922, he was a teacher at the Nagykálló high school, and then from 1922 to 1941 he taught at the Kaposvár city higher commercial school. In 1928 he became a doctor of humanities at the Erzsébet University of Pécs and between 1936 and 1941 he was a private teacher there. In September 1941 he was transferred to the Higher Commercial School in Nyíregyháza, and between 1946 and 1966 he was the director of the Technical School of Economics. In the meantime, in 1942 he was habilitated as a private teacher at the Tisza István University of Debrecen. From 1966 he conducted significant research on Berzsenyi on behalf of the Textological Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, at which time his summary Berzsenyi monograph was published and he prepared a critical edition of all the poet's works for publication.
