* Szepesremete, June 1844? – † Rozsnyó, October 22, 1907 / physician, travel writer, editor ; ; He began his high school studies in Prešov and graduated from high school in Rozsnyó in 1862. He earned a doctorate in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Budapest. In 1880, he worked in Rozsnyó as the county chief physician, and was also the Andrássyk family physician. He edited and financially supported the Rozsnyói Híradó, in which he published his writings free of charge, including a series of travel reports on his trip to Turkey (from Budapest to Constantinople, from Constantinople to Ezreum). He often published under different pseudonyms (dr. Csucsomi, dr. Krasznai). He also wrote articles on natural science, medicine, hunting, history, archaeology, ethnography, linguistics, and book reviews, which were mainly published in Rozsnyó, but were also read in other newspapers in the country. He accompanied Mór Jókai when he collected material for some of his historical novels (The White Lady of Levoca, Loved Like a Bloody Bench) in the Szépesség and Rozsnyó area. He was also a passionate collector, primarily interested in antiquities and special items from distant lands.
