* Pusztafödémes, 5 October 1828 – † Nagyrőce, 18 July 1879 / physician, botanist, local historian ; ; He completed his high school studies in Bratislava, and obtained his doctorate in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pest in 1852. He then worked as a hospital surgeon and then as a military physician for the imperial army in Italy. From 1860 he was the city physician in Nagyrőce. In addition to his work, he was a botanist and examined the moss flora of Nagyrőce and its surroundings. He described more than 110 new moss species. He held positions in numerous associations and organizations (rifle club, fire department, casino, city library, etc.).
