* Mosód, 26 August 1803 – † Pest, 1872 / mining engineer, academic teacher ; ; He obtained a diploma in mining and metallurgy from the Academy of Bánya Selmec in 1824. He served in various mines and ironworks along the Garam River for 13 years, and was then invited to be a lecturer at the Academy in 1837. He taught drawing and mining engineering until 1843, and between 1843 and 1847 he was a professor at the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Architecture. During the War of Independence of 1848/49 he entered the service of the Hungarian government, for which reason he lost his job in 1850 and lived as a pensioner. He was one of the founders of the Hungarian Geological Society.
