* Losonc, 14 October 1910 – †  Budapest, 25 May 1984 / physician, internist, novelist, university professor ; ; He completed his studies in Budapest, where he received his medical degree in 1934. He began his career at the III. Internal Medicine Clinic led by Sándor Korányi, then worked in a private hospital during World War II, later went to the front as a labor serviceman. From 1945 he was an assistant professor at the I. Internal Medicine Clinic, in 1948 he obtained a private teaching qualification, candidate (1952). Between 1960–1965 he was a professor at the I. Department of Internal Medicine of the Medical Continuing Education Institute, director of the institute (in 1962–1965), then from 1965 to 1980 he was a professor at the I. Department of Internal Medicine of the SOTE. He was a professor and director of the Department of Internal Medicine. He was an excellent internist who worked on almost every area of this field at an outstanding level. Among his hundreds of scientific publications and monographs, the monograph and textbook entitled A belgyógyászás azállonalai I-III., written together with Gyula Petrányi and published in 1977, stands out, which has gone through more than twenty editions. He was an outstandingly educated humanist, whose prose often spoke of the doctor.
