Michael Macza

* Košice, March 24, 1942 – / historian, museologist ; ; He graduated from the Slovak gymnasium in Szepsi (1959), and obtained a teaching certificate in history and Hungarian at the Comenius University in Bratislava (1964). In 1965–1970 he was a lecturer at the Csemadok KB, and from 1970 he was a scientific associate at the Danube River Museum in Komárom, later a department head and then deputy director. In 1999–2002 he was the deputy mayor of Komárom. He was one of the founders of the Hungarian Youth Association and later the Komárom Museum Friends Circle. He has been publishing since 1965, and his area of interest is primarily the cultural, industrial and local history of Komárom and its surroundings. He has organized several exhibitions on Komárom.
