Horse riding in the swimming pool

Felsőszeli lies on the banks of the Dudvág, and since ancient times pedestrians have approached both sides of the village using the ferry. The coachmen and cattle drivers going to the fair gradually trampled down the river bank, creating an approx. 100 m wide bed in the middle of the village. The name Úsztátó soon spread in the language of the people. The farmers watered their horses here after work. Of course, bathing and swimming ducks and geese was also common. In the picture, the coachmen are watering their horses on the right bank of the Dudvág. The old outbuilding of the Catholic cantor's house can also be seen in the background. On the right is the pub, which was demolished when the new bus stop was built.
