* Bazin, around 1776 – † Ipolyság, November 14, 1814 / doctor, agricultural writer ; ; He completed his secondary school studies at the Lutheran Lyceum in Bratislava. The Bratislava doctor István Lumnitzer organized botanical excursions for his students, and the young Lübeck also participated with pleasure, since his pharmacist father had instilled in him a love of plants in Bazin. At Lumnitzer's urging, he ultimately chose not to become a pharmacist, but first studied medicine in Jena and then in Vienna. After obtaining his diploma, he briefly tried his hand at medical practice in Bratislava, then in Sövényháza in Győr County, and then in Nagyszentmiklós in Transylvania. In both places, he also dealt with farming, which brought him closer to agriculture. In 1804, he started a German-language weekly newspaper with an agricultural theme called Patriotisches Wochenblatt für Ungern. In addition to his own articles, the most qualified specialists of the time wrote on a wide variety of topics. Unfortunately, the paper only lasted one year, apparently financial problems forced the editor to close it, and for the same reason, in 1805 he accepted the position of “physicist” – chief physician – of Hont County in Ipolyság. He held this position until his early death. He also tried to found another paper in Ipolyság, but the journal Ungarische Miscellen zur Beförderung der Industrie und Kultur only lasted 5 issues. ; ; Two more books were published during his lifetime: Allgemeine ökonomie Lexikon (two volumes, 1812) and Der allgemeine ökonomie Sammler ; (two volumes, 1812-1813), these were educational works for practicing farmers and landowners. Another work remained in manuscript, which was only published after his death, in 1815. It went through 5 editions in a short time and was published in Hungarian in 1830 under the title Hellenthal K.'s helpful book for wine farmers and wine merchants or the perfected Pintzemester (Hellenthal was Lübeck's pseudonym).
