Horse banderium at harvest time

In Felsőszeli, it was an old custom to organize a horse band to make the village's most important events more solemn. Examples of this were the Hungarian invasion in 1938, the bringing home of the bells in 1922, special church holidays, etc., so the decorated procession of horsemen always started first at the beginning of the harvest parade. This happened in 1972 as well, but one more interesting thing is that the main leader was Kálmán Pónya, who was already an adult from a young age, but he asked the leadership of the Csemads to allow him to lead the horsemen one last time. His request was gladly granted, as he had a horse, received clothes from the organization, and proudly rode through the village, followed by Zoltán Ledneczky and Ferenc Pónya. The long-time member of the organization always considered it important to cherish and respect traditions. He then happily handed over the leadership to Zoltán Ledneczky.
