* Derencsény, August 2, 1843 – † Selmecbánya, June 3, 1889 / mining engineer, professional writer ; ; He obtained a diploma from the Selmecbánya Forestry and Mining Engineering Academy in 1866. After that, he worked in the ironworks in Gerlistyén in the Banat for five years, and then lived in Selmecbánya from 1871 until his death. In 1873, he organized and administered the Selmec mining school. In the meantime, he also lectured at the Academy. His articles were published primarily in the Mining and Metallurgical Journals. He also did a lot for the development of the Hungarian mining terminology. ; ; His main works: ; On the Saarbrücken Coal Mine, 1885, ; Scholl C. F., The Machinist's Guide. For boilermakers, steam engine operators, beginning mechanical engineers, engineers, factory owners, machine shops, technical institutes and authorities. Written in Hungarian, adapted to Hungarian conditions, with 424 illustrations, 1885.
