Gusztav Liszkay

* Derencsény, August 2, 1843 – † Selmecbánya, June 3, 1889 / mining engineer, professional writer ; ; He obtained a diploma from the Selmecbánya Forestry and Mining Engineering Academy in 1866. After that, he worked in the ironworks in Gerlistyén in the Banat for five years, and then lived in Selmecbánya from 1871 until his death. In 1873, he organized and administered the Selmec mining school. In the meantime, he also lectured at the Academy. His articles were published primarily in the Mining and Metallurgical Journals.
