The upper Szelians were taken to Germany on New Year's Eve 1944. The picture shows the luckier ones from the Glinde prison camp near Hamburg, that is, the cooks who did not starve so much while cooking. In front of them is the barefoot Szelian József Deák, who was one of the youngest. Due to his playful nature, the cooks took him to the kitchen to wash dishes several times, so at least he had enough sometimes.
