The levente organizations were the most important organizations of military pre-training in Hungary from the early 1920s until the end of World War II. The levente organizations served the military pre-training and nationalistic education of boys between the ages of 12 and 21, who usually dropped out of school. In addition to physical education, they placed significant emphasis on discipline and religious and moral education.
