* Geletnek, April 28, 1887 – † Sopron, September 6, 1962 / forest engineer, university professor ; ; He studied at the Mining and Forestry Academy in Selmecbánya between 1905 and 1909. He worked as an intern in the Selmecbánya area. He received his forest engineering diploma in 1912. In 1911 he was transferred to Transylvania (Kolozsvár, Görgényszentimre, Biszterce). In 1917 he moved to Budapest, where he became an employee of the Timber Sales Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and his interest turned primarily to the economic issues of forestry. During his years in the ministry, he also obtained a diploma in economic engineering from the Technical University. In December 1923 he was appointed an extraordinary professor at the Forestry College. In 1926, he launched the forestry policy department, and later founded other departments (e.g. forestry law). In 1934, he received the title of university professor.
