* Alvinc, 19 January 1824 – † Vienna, 1 February 1895 / forester, academic teacher, pioneer of Hungarian forestry literature ; ; He completed his forestry studies at the Selmecbánya Academy. From 1846 he was a treasury trainee, and in 1848 he was an assistant teacher at the Selmec Academy, where he was the first to lecture in Hungarian. After the defeat of the War of Independence, he served at the Béla Bánya forestry department and then in Transylvania. From 1867 he taught again in Selmecbánya, and in 1872 he was appointed director of the Fogaras estate. He wrote the first Hungarian-language forestry textbook. His professional studies were published in the Gazdasági Lapok and the Forestry and Economic Lapok. ; ; His main works: ; Forestry manual for technical support personnel, including forest owners, forest officials, municipalities and economic institutions, 1871.
